Duke Of Kent Leaves Hospital Today

Prince Edward, the Queen's cousin was taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, on Sunday because of a suspected hip dislocation sustained during his stay at the Balmoral estate in Scotland.

A palace spokesman said: "I can confirm that the Duke of Kent was admitted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland for treatment of a hip injury."

He was seen leaving the hospital today, walking with the aid of a cane to a waiting car.

The Duke is the son of Prince George, the younger brother of King George VI and King Edward VIII.
He became the Duke of Kent at just six when his father died in a wartime flying accident in 1942.
